Addapted

Addapted's core value is on liberating writers through community based storytelling.

I founded Addapted and we launched the program with Chapman University. Discovering the need for deeper student collaboration outside of the classroom around lessons, we allowed students to team up to build stories around topics together to expand community learning. The application will soon be public for general usage, transforming how we create short form and micro-story communication.

Kitchen Wizard

Kitchen Wizard's core value is on helping you decide what to cook with what you have based on your unique needs.

I founded Kitchen Wizard, and we eventually sold to a local retail chain. The product simplified inventory tracking with shelf life alerts, self-generating grocery lists, and machine learning. We partnered with recipe APIs and blogging chefs, and managed a self-made database of over 4,000 ingredients, 12 diets, and 8 lifestyle goals.

Oomba's core value is on finding the best person for you to play against.

I was the Chief Design Officer at Oomba, where we created tools for eSports tournaments and socialized competition. From stadium play to PvP local matches, we covered ground in boardgames, sports, eSports, and more. We designed community based scoreboards with fan engagement visible to the audience, search functions to find the best competitor to play against based on your skill level, and a dynamic tournament building tool.

Groundswell's core value is on connecting local charities you care about to your employers contribution plans.

I was the lead UX & UI designer for Groundswell, building the designs up from nothing. We needed to account for employer needs, smart charity intake processes, and simple searching for employees. We also solved how to involve influencers and community based engagement.

I was the lead UX & UI designer for Brevity. Leveraging my experience as a remastering program manager at CBS, we focused on tools and processes that interconnect teams better. Knowing that the clients using the product ranged in skillsets, we focused on a simple, automated process that users could customize as they built confidence in the tool.

AVA

AVA's core value is on serving people with trama to predict upcoming negative events and redirect to positive outlets.

I was the lead UX & UI designer for AVA. The product focused on serving people with post tramatic stress disorders, most notably people from the military and people recently released from prison and juvenile facilities. We leveraged Chrome extensions, machine learning with social media posts driven by the user, and real 1 on 1 human interaction and touch points to improve the lives of our users by detecting and then rerouting negative behavior patterns.

Bodhi

Bodhi's core value is on connecting students in the classroom to their books in a deeper, collaborative way.

I was the lead UX & UI designer for Bodhi. The problem was how to bring old texts into the modern, interactive era, in a way that students could engage with collaboratively on. Leveraging commenting, highlighting, and community commenting within digital books, classrooms could create deeper learning among students. We also built in checkpoints, quizzes, and quick note reflections so students and teachers could measure student progress in more meaningful ways.

Stat Health MD

Stat Health's core value is on telemedicine connecting medical experts with communities that need them most.

I was the lead UX & UI designer for Stat Health MD. The application involved interfaces for the medical teams, patients, and hospital staff. Being able to quickly connect physicians from around the country to rural communities meant a simple tool for patience, robust availability and pricing mechanics for hospitals and doctors, all while maintaining patient privacy.

Helpkin

Helpkin's core value is on giving you a night off by connecting willing friends to babysit your kids and pets.

I was the lead UX & UI designer for Helpkin. We found that most friends are actually willing to help watch your children or pets, but there's an awkward barrier between asking and offering. By connecting communities of friends, similar to how dating apps match pairs, we were able to give parents thousands of hours off and saving thousands of dollars by connecting them to their friends who genuinely wanted to babysit for the night.

Are you in music?

I've found a passion and niche for myself serving musicians and artists set up physical products and graphics faster. For instance, I helped independent artist Kara Connolly get to two-time GRAMMY Best Pop Vocal Album nominee with a merch pipeline and launched her digital and physical products. From single and album covers, to sites, to music and lyric videos, I love helping artists get their visual dreams to reality, as deep down, I'm still an artist myself!
